Ichirin no Hana

~Flower Five~

Consciousness washed over Kana and a groan escaped her lips. She sat up and winced, looking at her side. It was bandaged up and she furrowed her brows.
When did this happen? She thought and then remembered her fight with Dark and her encounter with Ganon.
“So, yer awake…” A voice sneered. She looked and saw Dark sitting in the corner of the room outside of her cell. He ran his fingers through his hair and sighed.
“You know, you’re pretty heavy…” He told her distastefully. Kana glared and laid back down on the lumpy bed.
“What are you doing here?” She asked. Dark let out a mix between a growl and a sigh.
“Much to my greatest displeasure, I was put in charge of watching you…” He stated. Kana scowled.
“How exciting…”
“Isn’t it?” Dark asked sarcastically. The red head searched her side for her staff and Dark chuckled, causing her to look. He twirled her staff between his fingers, smirking.
“Looking for this?” He teased. She glared.
“Gimme my staff, you jerk…”
“Nah, I think I’ll keep it…Wouldn’t want you to escape, now would we?” He chuckled. She smirked, causing his own smug expression to falter.
“What’s with that look?”
“I don’t need my staff to escape…” She told him. His eyes widened slightly.
“Since when?”
“Since I trained with my mother at age five.” She replied and made an ‘x’ with her arms.
Ruler! The mask of blood and flesh, all things in the universe that fly, that which names all! Inferno and pandemonium, the sea barrier surges. March on to the south! Red flame cannon!” She yelled and shot an intense stream of fire from her palm. It melted the bars of her cell and she smirked. Dark gazed in amazement.
“Told you~!” Kana winked. He unsheathed his sword and charged. She pointed at him and smirked.
“Six Bars of Light!” She said and Dark tripped, feeling his limbs go numb. He face planted and Kana laughed. Dark glared up at her and she knelt in front of him.
“Aw~! What’s wrong? Upset that you got beat by a girl?” She teased. He glared more.
“Why do you care?” He hissed. Kana frowned.
“I don’t know…I just…I feel bad for some reason…” She replied softly, “Like…I’ve known you for such a long time…” Dark huffed.
“What a bunch of crap…” He grumbled. She frowned more and pat his head before she stood, walking away.
“Hey! Where the hell do you think you’re going!? Get this damn spell off me!” He yelled after her. She stopped and looked at him over her shoulder.
“No, cuz if I do, you’ll pursue me…And we wouldn’t want that, now would we?” She told him. He growled and fought against the invisible ties.
“Let me go, you wretched woman!” He snapped. She smiled softly.
“The spell will deactivate once I leave, don’t worry…” She told him and left the room. Dark growled lowly and blew some hair from his face.
“What an infuriating woman…” He grumbled.

“Now, let me see, let me see…How do I get out of here?” Kana asked herself quietly.
“Forgetting something, Girlie?” Dark’s voice sounded behind her. She gasped and turned around quickly. Dark stood behind her smirking, twirling her staff between his fingers teasingly.
“Surely you need this to do some magic, right?” He chuckled. She glared and prepared to use the Six Bars of Light again, but he raised his hand to stop her.
“Ah! I wouldn’t do that if I were you…”
“And why not?” Kana glared. Dark smirked.
“Because if you do…He won’t like that very much…” He told her and pointed behind her. She slowly turned and saw Ganon glaring down at her.
“So…You’ve managed to escape…” He said lowly. Fear washed over the red head, she was actually scared. She had been in more dangerous situations than this, but this one actually made her heart pound.
“So, you’ve decided not to cooperate…Very well, I will force you too…”
I don’t like the sound of that… Kana thought.
“Your friends are in the Forest Haven right now…If you choose to cooperate and join me, I will let them live. But if you don’t…” Ganon paused and smirked.
“They will meet their end far too quickly than they had hoped…” He told her. Her eyes widened.
Why do the bad guys always do this!? She thought.
“I think she’s tellin’ ya no, boss…” Dark smirked. Ganon furrowed his brows.
“Is that so? Very well, I will-“
“No! No…I’ll…I’ll join you…” Kana told him sadly. Ganon smirked.
“Good choice…Dark Link, show her where she’ll be staying…”
“Yes, my Lord.” Dark said and roughly grabbed Kana’s arm, dragging her off. He threw her into a room and tossed her staff at her.
“Training starts first thing in the morning…See ya then.” He said and slammed the door, locking it. Kana thumped onto her bed and pulled her knees close to her chest, sobbing hysterically.

“I hope Kana’s ok…” Shiro frowned. Link smiled softly.
“I’m sure she’s ok, Shiro. She can take care of herself. Remember, she’s the Great and All Mighty Kana of Outset! Nothing can stop her.” He reassured. Shiro smiled and nodded.
“You’re right, Link. Come on, let’s go get Makar!” She said and walked forward with Link following.

“Pale Lightning!” Kana yelled and tried to break down her door. But it just sucked in her attack and disabled it. Growling in frustration, Kana tried everything she could until she felt weak from all the energy she used up. She dropped to her knees and fell to her side.
“Dammit…I’m too weak…I can’t…Move…” She panted. She fought to keep her eyes open, but she was failing horribly.
“Crap…” She muttered.
I’m so…Tired… She finally closed her eyes and let her consciousness slip away.
Hooray! Ch. Five!
